VDI in Russia

10001564_840715182611944_4780734092898104317_nThe terms “mobile training” and “global presence” are tossed around with alarming regularity in the security training profession. When VDI says those things, we mean just that…taking our training to wherever in the world there is a need.

Hence, this past week we found ourselves on our second trip in two years to Moscow, Russia. One of the more interesting aspects of the training this time around was the fact that some of the cars were equipped with studded snow tires.

As we have come to know here at VDI over the last decade (and the thirty plus years before that with the Scotti School), there are dedicated, passionate security professionals the world over who are hungry for relevant, effective training. Our hats are off to our new Russian friends who gave us everything they had, everyday.

I attended an Executive Defensive Driving Course over 30 years ago in England and our instructor was Toni Scotti.
It lasted a full week and was very comprehensive and a couple of years later we had a follow up.
I am now an old man of 87 and still driving and have never forgotten the training we received.

Thankfully I have never had cause to use here in Northern Ireland any of the techniques though there is no
    Doubt my driving benefitted

Bob – I apologize for the delay in responding. I remember that time fondly. It is great hearing from you, and glad to hear that you are retired and doing well. VDI is keeping the tradition that started more than 40 years ago alive.
    Take Care

Surveillance Detection a Practical Perspective

Surveillance Detection: a Practical Perspective

Recognizing that while the Solo Practitioner approach – where one protection practitioner is responsible for managing the wide range of risks their Principal may face – is not the optimum approach to doing so, it is in fact being effectively implemented far more often and successfully than many in the profession would care to admit, it’s worthwhile to take a closer look at the strategies and tactics which contribute to the effectiveness of the Solo Practitioner paradigm.
