Planning, Managing, and Providing Secure Transportation

VDI Planning, Managing, and Providing Secure Transportation

Since the early 1970s, the reality of managing the safety and security risks faced by public figures – such as corporate executives, high net worth and ultra high net worth family members, entertainers and elected officials – has been that the highest risk activity they will engage in on any given day is being transported by vehicle from one location to another.

Today, as legacy risks continue to evolve and new risks are continually emerging, it’s imperative that those responsible for ensuring the safety and security of public figures are well versed in identifying, mitigating, and managing the entire spectrum of potential risks those who they are responsible for protecting may encounter when they are moving from Point A to Point B. Now there is a course that is designed to provide security professionals the opportunity to increase their capabilities to do just that!

VDI’s five (5) day Planning, Managing and Providing Secure Transportation training course expands on the insights and lessons learned that were shared in the bestselling book, The Professional’s Guide to Secure Transportation, which was authored by Joe Autera, VDI’s President & CEO. Like the book, this course provides newcomers to the protection profession, up-and-comers, as well as experienced protection professionals, the opportunity to develop an understanding of, and put into practice, the strategies and tactics for providing effective secure transportation services that have been proven effective in locales around the world over the course of nearly fifty years.

Surveillance Detection a Practical Perspective

Surveillance Detection: a Practical Perspective

Recognizing that while the Solo Practitioner approach – where one protection practitioner is responsible for managing the wide range of risks their Principal may face – is not the optimum approach to doing so, it is in fact being effectively implemented far more often and successfully than many in the profession would care to admit, it’s worthwhile to take a closer look at the strategies and tactics which contribute to the effectiveness of the Solo Practitioner paradigm.
