Training Facility Development

For more than 22 years, the VDI team has traveled the world, delivering training in more than 30 countries on 6 continents. In that time, they have gained invaluable insight into the attributes and characteristics of training facilities that make for the most efficient – and effective – training experience for those who matter the most, the training participants. These specialized facilities include:

  • Government/Military
  • Law Enforcement
  • Private Sector

With more than 100 years of combined experience in training site design, development, and operation, the VDI leadership team has the unique combination of knowledge, skill, and ability necessary to translate those insights into cost-effective solutions for training facility redesign, renovation/refurbishment, as well as “clean slate”, purpose-built, new construction projects. This infrastructure may include, but is not limited to:

  • Modular Classrooms, Administrative, Maintenance, and Storage Buildings
  • Improved and Unimproved Surface Driving Tracks
  • Modular Shoot Houses and Firearms Ranges (Virtual, Live Fire & Hybrid)
  • Traditional Brick and Mortar Structures
  • Power, Telecommunications, and information systems upgrades/installations
  • Video Monitoring, Access Control, and Alarm Systems

As a prefabricated and modular structure provider with state certifications, modular design and facilities support experience, VDI’s focus on a collaborative design and development process ensures that each and every training facility development project meets not just the client’s immediate goals, but provides scalable infrastructure and adaptable design elements and features that can readily, cost effectively, meet future training, research, development, and testing need as they arise and evolve.

Surveillance Detection a Practical Perspective

Surveillance Detection: a Practical Perspective

Recognizing that while the Solo Practitioner approach – where one protection practitioner is responsible for managing the wide range of risks their Principal may face – is not the optimum approach to doing so, it is in fact being effectively implemented far more often and successfully than many in the profession would care to admit, it’s worthwhile to take a closer look at the strategies and tactics which contribute to the effectiveness of the Solo Practitioner paradigm.
